Brinkman Profiled in WRI and TNC Report: The Business of Planting Trees

By

On January 18, 2018, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) released a report, The Business of Planting Trees: A Growing Investment Opportunity. The study demonstrates how restoring degraded and deforested lands is not only critical for ecosystems but also a growing opportunity for investors and entrepreneurs. From hundreds of companies surveyed, the report highlights 14 enterprises from around the world.

Brinkman was selected as one of these 14 examples, and one of only two companies profiled as a “one-stop shop” for restoration under the Project Management section. Our profile details large-scale reforestation projects across Canada, carbon offset projects in British Columbia, and FSC-certified native hardwood plantations in Central America. Together, these projects showcase the range of restoration approaches our teams have managed—from replanting clear-cut and fire-affected forests to developing climate services and ecosystem restoration projects with Indigenous and community partners.
